Pro Handmade Tubeless Ready with Superpoly carcass
Handmade tires combine a variety of outstanding features to offer the highest comfort and lowest rolling resistance. Carefully selected materials are used to meet performance requirements at different tyre levels depending on the use. Soft, supple carcasses quickly adapt to the shape of the ground when rolling and in curves. This increases ground contact and grip and improves shock absorption on poor road surfaces. Soft, natural rubber treads are combined with light, flexible puncture protection. Polyester is the cheapest of all handmade carcasses. It is a synthetic material that is very strong and waterproof and offers much more flexibility and durability than comparable nylon materials. Challenge uses high quality polyester or SuperPoly (polyester with a higher TPI number) to produce cost effective pro-level tires.
Tubeless Ready
Perfectly suited for use with tubeless systems: No hose, strong puncture protection and high efficiency.
Handmade natural rubber - hardness grade SMARTplus
Challenge's handcrafted natural rubber profiles are assembled to provide the perfect level of durability without compromising performance, comfort and control. Challenge tires wear 10 - 20% faster than the competition, but they score with significantly improved performance and feel throughout their life. Depending on the requirements, the tyres are equipped with different soft rubber compounds. The SMARTplus compound is a somewhat harder natural rubber compound specially designed for high mileage. The formulation effectively reduces wear, making the tyre even more resistant and durable.
Ganzo & PPS2
Some tyres designed for use on rough roads, cobblestones and gravel are equipped with PPS2 (Puncture Protection System 2). In addition to the normal PPS protective layer between the tread and carcass, these offer unrivalled puncture protection with an additional PPS fabric layer between the carcass and tube. The Ganzo Puncture Protection System is a highly flexible, even tighter woven multi-component puncture protection system, which is incorporated between the tread and carcass. The Ganzo PPS makes the tyre lighter, more puncture resistant and maintains the smooth and comfortable character of Challenge tyres.
Note: Tubeless Ready tires require tubeless compatible rims/wheels, tubeless valves, tubeless rim tape and sealing fluid for tubeless mounting. Sealant fluid is not required for tubeless UST tires, but is recommended for increased puncture protection. Installation should only be carried out by qualified personnel.
